GAIN ACCESS TO USEFUL EQUIPMENT
This project relies on a strong budget and mainly consists of equipment which would be necessary for surveys and other studies that have to be undertaken for the analysis of the marine environment of Cyprus.
Such equipment includes:
- Scuba gear
- Fishing gear (fishing rods and seine nets)
- Cameras (waterproof cameras and video cameras)
- 4 X 4 car/truck
- Oxygen supply
- Radio receivers
- Satellite tags
- Computers (statistical programs)
- Oxygen meters
These types equipment will help us reach our goal towards a successful, protected and healthy sea.
It will enable us to protect the marine species around Cyprus and also keep track of the endangered species.
Give rewards for fished tuna so that fishermen would release them back into the sea (e.g. reward the fishermen double the price that they would sell the tuna in the market in order to liberate the fish back to their natural environment).
Seawater analysis, fish biodiversity and general marine environment progression can be analyzed and written down into data to foresee changes.
Eggs of sea turtles and other marine species can be more protected which will increase their chance of survival.
Artificial corals may also be created at areas with low species biodiversity so to rebuild species richness.
